Rita Kagawa’s Family Speaks Out After Her Body Is Found

Rita Kagawa

King 5 news provides an article featuring the family of Rita Christine Kagawa following the Friday announcement of the discovery of her body near Yelm Washington.

Rita Kagawa was reported missing on May 20th by family members after she failed to show up for her shift at the Spanaway Walmart where she worked.

The last person to see or speak to Ms. Kagawa was her ex husband on May 18th. Conflicting news reports make it unclear if their contact was by phone or in person.  However, what is clear is that her disappearance came five days after Mr. Kagawa was ordered to pay Ms. Kagawa over $67,000 in a retirement divorce settlement and one day before she was due to collect said court ordered settlement.

Ms. Kagawa’s partially decomposed body was located Tuesday, June 24th, in the 13100 block of state Route 510 near Yelm by a motorist who stopped to relief himself. Law Enforcement does have a”person of interest” in this case.
