The body of the female found off of SR 510 close to Yelm has been identified as that of missing Spanaway woman, Rita Catherine Kagawa, 53. Ms. Kagawa was reported missing by family members on May 20 th after she didn’t show up for work.
According to reports, the last known sighting or contact from Ms. Kagawa came on May 18th when she spoke with her ex husband on the telephone. Five days before the May 18th phone call, Mr. Kagawa was ordered to pay her $67,000 in a retirement settlement.
According to news reports law enforcement does have a “person of interest” in this case.
